Happy Belated 4th

I hope you all enjoyed the 4th of July yesterday. It was a nasty, rainy one here. Marble sized hale included. Our power flicked on and off for the better part of the day, and we lost signals on the phone and internet. To top it off, both children were particularly cranky. Ah........When the rain and hail stopped, I was able to take Paisley into the back yard to see fireworks in the distance. We had planned to attend a church event with a friend of ours, but that didn't happen, thanks to the weather. There was no way I was getting the kids out in that. I won't drive in rain unless I absolutely have to. I had also planned to make some red, white, and blue smoothies to celebrate, but without power, my blender wouldn't work. What a day....Ray did bring a pool home yesterday, though. Can't wait to get Paisley out in that! It's 8:43 AM, and both my kids are still asleep. Mommy got lucky this morning! Off to make breakfast, now. Pancakes and bacon. Mmm!
