P is for Pig

Paisley loves pigs about as much as I love the color pink. We are planning to buy her a mini potbelly pig for her birthday this year. When I asked her what she wanted to name the future pig, her response was, "Wink Wink or Puppy". "You want to name it Puppy?", I said. "Oh yeah, mama. My piggy." "Ok, kiddo. Your right, it will be your pig, so you can name it whatever you like, sweetie." Lol. A pig by the name of Puppy. What will the neighbors think, hehe. We really don't mind though. After all, she hasn't yet had the opportunity to name a pet, only her stuffed animals. She carries around a small stuffed pig with her everywhere that she goes. For a while, I told her that it was not to leave the house. We didn't have a replacement, and I feared that one day it would end up lost and all hell would break loose. Finally, I was able to find a spare and I shoved it in the back of a dresser drawer. She's like Linus with his blanket on the Charlie Brown shows. It's really quite sweet, though. 'Pibby' is his name. The hardest thing is getting it away from her long enough to wash it. She will literally stand in front of the washer the entire time to ensure his safe return. This morning we made the pig above with a paper plate, construction paper, and tissue paper. I used our Elmer's Spray Adhesive to stick the torn tissue paper onto the plate, and simply cut a snout, ears, and eyes out of the construction paper and had Paisley tape those on. After she was done, she screamed, "Piggy! Piggy! Oink Oink! Oink Oink! Piiiiii-geeeeeee!!!!!," so loud that Ray and I thought we were going to be deaf.
